Nexans XPLORER™ is a series of innovative Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) modules developed to meet the future of optical fibre networks.

They are compatible with all standard types of frames or cabinets (19'', ETSI, with front or rear fixations) and provide flexibility and durability to Points of Presence (POP) where they are deployed.

XPLORER™ modules are tested in compliance with IEC 61300-2 for G environments from IEC 61753-1 (-40°C/+75°C), with materials selected to ensure resistance to chemicals, fungi and corrosion.

Environmental by Design 

Manufactured from premium injection moulded fibre-reinforced thermoplastic, the modules have been designed following a detailed 'cradle to grave' environmental impact assessment. 

The analysis followed methods developed by the PEPecopassport® programme, an electrical and electronics industry reference that defines rules for the development of Product Environmental Profiles (PEP) in accordance with ISO 14025. The study assesses the life cycles of the different types of optical module, from extraction and processing of all raw materials to the end of life.
