Aginode connects the world's largest indoor ski resort in China

Aginode supplies LANmark-6 UTP and LANmark-OF OS2 solutions for the Shanghai Yaoxue Ice and Snow World Project, the world's largest indoor ski resort

With an investment of nearly 7 billion yuan (ca. 900 million €) and covering 350,000 square meters, Shanghai Yaoxue Ice and Snow World features various attractions including:

• an indoor real snow ski resort spanning about 90,000 m²
• an all-weather water park
• a three-star resort hotel
• a multi-functional exhibition and convention center
• an ice and snow-themed characteristic town

Once completed, it will serve as a comprehensive destination for ice and snow vacations and will be the world's largest indoor ski resort. The project is currently in its final stages of construction and is set to be completed within the year.

Ski resort features

The ski resort features three trails: a green trail, a blue trail, and a black trail. The longest trail stretches nearly 1,200 meters. It boasts China's first S-shaped 3D snow track, China's inaugural indoor snow train, and China's premier indoor Ski in-Ski out suite. Additionally, the facility includes an all-weather water park, various experience spaces, and over 20 snow entertainment programs.

In terms of floor space, Shanghai Yaoxue Ice and Snow World surpasses Ski Dubai, a renowned ski resort in Dubai, by several times. Ski Dubai covers an area of 22,500 m².

Aginode’s contribution

Aginode supplied LANmark-6 UTP and LANmark-OF OS2 solutions for this project. The vast scale of it, the intricate main structure, and numerous special-shaped structures posed significant challenges to the construction process, particularly regarding long-distance transmission and connectivity within the cabling system.

Aginode met these demands by delivering a high-performance network cabling system, ensuring seamless connectivity throughout the venue. This solution establishes a robust foundation for the venue's overall intelligence.
